Therapeutic Riding

Many of our students (children and adults) have sensory issues, which makes the feeling of movement, touch and warmth very important to their therapy. Barefoot Saddles have helped our students tremendously to establish this connection; since there is no hard ridged tree, students are able to feel warmth and movement through their seat and legs. They can feel the horse's body and experience every movement the horse makes. These feelings help to stimulate use of muscles, sensory contact and a feeling of warmth, safety, physical and emotional connection with their horse.

Riding for the HandicappedWe are delighted with the comfort, support and security which these saddles offer our students. The addition of the extra sheepskin seats (which are complete replacement seats which don't slip) has not only provided extra comfort, warmth and colling properties to these saddles but also adds an important aspect to our special students who have thin skin that easily chafes, skins and bruises.

We have found our students prefer to ride in Barefoot saddles over any of the other saddles we have in our program.

Riding for the HandicappedI love their safety, comfort, durability and flexibility of use (can be rotated around to fit all our horses). We all (parents, students and volunteers) cannot thank you enough for your wonderful products, support and contributions to our program.
