Here is the picture of Amber riding Phoebe in the Atlanta Barefoot! They both love the saddle. Phoebe never kicked or stepped away at all when trying on and riding under the new saddle. We are so glad that you were able to help and solve our dilemma of saddle fitting. The special short stirrups you were able to fit us with also work really well for Amber, who is 4'10". We really appreciate all the time and consideration you gave us in helping to outfit us so that we were ready to ride. Your service was also a big help in expediting the total ordering process for us so that we got exactly what we needed and were ready to ride when our order arrived. It really helped to have the pad and saddle all put together for us. We enjoyed your responsiveness in talking with us about our personal needs. Amber's friend also tried the saddle and really loved it as well.

Hi There! My name is Wizard and here I am wearing my Barefoot London and matching Skito pad. I’m new to the internet but I wanted to share with my fellow equines what a great saddle this has been for me. Besides looking superb in it, if I do say so myself, it is very comfortable and I am much happier in it than my previous saddles. My owner and I go on some great adventures out on the trail and have also taken dressage lessons (I find those b-o-r-i-n-g) and our Barefoot has been perfect for both. I think she must also be very happy with it because we ride a lot more than we used to and she got rid of all our other saddles. She says I “canter much more freely” than I used to and that she loves the ‘comfortable, secure seat.’ Whatever. All I know is that I always come home feeling good and happy. Thanks Brita!!!!

As an avid trail rider, I spent several years trying to find a saddle that would be comfortable for myself and my horses. On the advice of a friend, I tried my first Barefoot Saddle about 3 years ago and I’ve been hooked ever since. I currently own 4 riding horses and all four are totally different sizes and shapes, ranging from a HUGE 16.2H moose of a horse, down to a slat-sided two year old that needs a 16” dressage girth. My Barefoot saddles have fit every horse I’ve ever tried them on with nothing but a change of girth. When I decided to go back to the show ring this year, there was no question about what I’d be showing in, I purchased two new London Dressage saddles and I couldn’t be more pleased. I’m showing in as many as 10 classes per day with two horses, and I come away with no sore spots for myself or my horses. I’ve ridden in these saddles as long as 6-hours for several days in a row, and never have to worry about how I’ll feel the next day. I wouldn’t ride in anything else now that I’ve owned one.

Dear Brita,
I want to thank you for my Arizona saddle. I waited all winter, after seeing and meeting with you at the Timonium, MD Horse Expo, to purchase my saddle. My daughter and I very much enjoyed talking with you there. Loved the look and construction of this saddle from the moment I actually saw it (pictures do it no justice).
A little bit about us. Fancy is a 8 year old Spotted Saddle Horse (gaited). We mostly trail ride. She (and I) have always hated ring work, it’s just too confining and boring for the both of us. Although, it does have its place when you need or want to work on specific things. Fancy ALWAYS hated circles and figure 8s. She would speed up in them, swing her back end out, throw her head up and stiffen up. I just always thought that she was being a butt and would make her continue again and again until she slowed up, she never did.
I received my saddle mid May 2008. We had a long and very wet spring, so I rode her first in the ring. We gaited, did circles and figure 8s … she was wonderful and consistent. Was it coincidence? I asked. Next ride, the same thing. Circles and figure 8s with only using body and leg … beautiful ! Fancy LOVES her new saddle ! My seat took 2 to 3 rides to comfortably ‘break in’. I LOVE my new saddle ! I have not experienced and slipping in any direction. I use a Smart Cinch with the saddle. We do steep trails, gaiting and cantering, all with no slippage.
Thank you for a GREAT product for both Fancy and I.

I met Brita at the Horse World Expo in MD and was introduced to the Barefoot line of treeless saddles. I had read about the Barefoot saddles, but had never had the opportunity to try one. After trying the Cheyenne and Tahoe models, I finally settled on the Tahoe for my mustangs. Not only would the Tahoe enable me to continue with competitive trail work, but it would also allow me to practice my old love of dressage. I cannot thank Brita enough for her patience in letting me try the saddles and different accessories on my several mustangs. I think if I were to ask my four-year old Kiger mustang mare, Morning Solana (pictured here), what she thinks of the new saddle, she would say, “ I love my Tahoe!” With the Tahoe I was finally able to get the forward impulsion from Solana that I was unable to get with my older, treed saddles. Thank you, Barefoot, for making a saddle that allows my mustangs to move forward with comfort and ease!

I rode 7 miles for the first time in my new Tahoe saddle (with purple Skito Equalizer pad)! Love it, not even sore today and I could really feel my horse moving under the saddle. I think it has freed his shoulders up quite a bit. Strange riding without a back cinch but I like it. My husband even tried it out and said he liked it too! Sweat marks were great and no soreness on his back at all!
Thank you so much for making myself and my horse happier and more comfy!!

I am happy to say that I am delighted to have my Barefoot London Treeless saddle and so are my two ponies! The saddle works wonderfully on both my Fjord and my imported German Black Forest Pony. They both move beautifully with this saddle and actually look happy when being ridden in it. This photo was taken this October riding in Vermont. My Black Forest pony, BUBI, is being ridden by my girlfriend overlooking the wonderful Fall foliage.
Thank you so much!

After endless trips to and from several saddle shops, trying to fit our propane tank style Haflinger, I discovered Brita's website and Barefoot saddles. Brita was great and answered all my questions about treeless saddles and then sent me a demo saddle. It was love at first sit! Our Tahoe fits our two very differently shaped Haflingers and their two riders. It is a great, secure saddle for trail riding. We love our saddle and can't wait to purchase a second.

Anyone who has a pony knows how difficult it is to fit them with a saddle that fits both their short back, round withers, and riders of different sizes. The Barefoot all purpose, trail saddle, size 1 was an immediate match for our little 13.2HH Welsh pony. It fit him well and allowed him to move freely and carry any rider that would ride him. The price is so incredibly economical for a saddle of this fine quality. I would recommend this saddle to pony owners everywhere.

My horse Eco is a short backed Paso Fino. We had such a hard time finding a saddle that would fit him. I have tried three different saddles and one day came across Brita's Barefoot site on the internet. I thought that I would give it a try. I received the demo saddle and tried it on Eco. Wow, what a difference! He moved much more freely and his gait was incredibly smooth. It is amazing how you can feel the movement of your horse under the saddle. Not only is my Tahoe comfortable for my horse, but it is very comfortable for me as well. My Tahoe has been very secure on trail rides in the mountains of North Carolina. I highly recommend this saddle. Great quality at an affordable price.

I am so glad I tried the Sierra Western Barefoot saddle on my goofy mare Bubbles. After she returned from running helter skelter around the property without a rider, wearing her Sierra saddle, I can truly say that the saddle was a happy union of horse and tack (despite a very loose girth the saddle did not move an inch). I was hesitant to give this saddle a try. It was so economical, I was curious of its quality. I am thrilled to report the saddle is beautifully crafted, and is so comfortable for my horse and myself. It is a joy to ride in and I know my horse is happy in it- and you can't beat the price. I am going to pass this discovery onto everyone I know.

Kate is doing great in her Barefoot Cheyenne. As you can see from the picture, she is moving wonderfully in it. She really walks right out with the Barefoot, and her canter is so much better...she doesn't try to throw a buck in. She is one happy, happy mare.
We have a dressage/jumping clinic coming up over Memorial Day weekend, and can't wait to show off our Barefoot and how well she does in it. Thank you again for all your help!!
Happy Trails,

Just wanted you to know how much I enjoy my Arizona, Barefoot saddle!
EVERYONE needs the fleece pad if you do much trail riding, it's awesome, and I wouldn't ride without it.Here's a picture of Kol my 13.1 hand Icelandic with the saddle and trail gear on. The weight of the saddle is so light I don't mind putting a little extra on her for emergencies and long rides. Thanks again for importing these saddles, I have looked and looked and now I have found the best!

Teequila and I earned 4th place in a local show this weekend in our english class (in, of course, our ultra comfy Cheyenne saddle).
Got the opportunity to tell a couple of interested people about the wonders of Barefoot saddles, too.

As promised, I thought I'd send you a photo taken a few weeks back of Doogie, me and the Tahoe Saddle which I received back in April. We're both enjoying it!!!!
It's quite comfortable for both of us. One of my friends tried the Tahoo and I think she will be ordering one in the not-too distant future.

I just wanted to send you a testimonial and a picture, now that I have one!
I cannot thank you enough for your help getting everything perfect for Dakota and I. My hard-to-fit mustang is happier than ever, and our Tahoe fits us like a well-worn glove. I swapped it in place of my western saddle (and gone bitless), and I've never had a moment's regret, except that it took me so long to figure it out!! It's secure, soft, and so much more comfy for both of us. I love pulling my saddle off and seeing a perfect sweat pattern, and a horse who is still sighing in contentment. The other day, he had been sitting for a while, and he actually stretched up into his saddle like a cat! He's so sweet and giving, and I'm so happy I can give back to him in this way. Plus, we went to a local fun show and won our pleasure class! We really tested it on a ridiculously difficult trail, and it was great helping my boy up and down a mountain, in the rain and mud. I love how he can use his whole body now, and it's wonderful to be able to feel when he does. As an added bonus, I'm amazed at how I'm never sore when I hop off, even after that crazy trail ride. The only things I had difficulty with at first were the muscles of my inner thigh (you sit wide and have to stretch these muscles out...lol give them time, they do!!!) And I had to adjust the saddle and girth A LOT that first month, but this too passes and I never have an issue now. Anyway, Brita, thank you again for your wonderful help and patience. I'm a Barefoot advocate for life!
